The third-annual Localized Marketing Benchmark Report (LMBR) is a collaborative research project conducted by Localogy, the leading global non-profit trade association helping marketers and agencies realize the full potential of localized marketing, and SOCi, Inc., the marketing platform for multi-location brands. The research examines how top multi-location businesses perform in the most influential digital channels, including local search, social, and ratings & reviews. We created the LMBR to: 1. Establish standards for multi-location brand presence and promotion through top local marketing channels that influence modern consumer buying decisions. 2. Quantify the digital presence and performance of today’s top multi-location brands, establishing standardized and quantifiable benchmarks. 3. Analyze companies that score above the benchmark – along with common patterns and vertical performance – to reveal a target list of best practices. When done effectively, localized marketing can propel brands to the top of organic search results, build and maintain a highly-engaged base of loyal customers, and drive increased traffic and sales to local businesses. In fact, localized marketing is the largest untapped opportunity in the multi-location marketing space today – and the main reason this type of research is so important.
