The Scottish Rite Freemasonry brand, the world’s oldest fraternity, had become tired and outdated. And for the past 50 years, membership and retention were in sharp decline. Our job: create a modern, fully integrated campaign to revitalize their brand, attract new members and generate much needed revenue.

Mission accomplished: For the first time since the 1970s, membership numbers rose and retention increased.

Scottish Rite membership is open to Master Masons (men that have completed the three degrees of the Masonic Craft). Scottish Rite allows these men to continue on their Masonic journey through 29 additional degrees. The campaign inspired members and prospects to connect with Scottish Rite on its unique journey of self improvement.

The comprehensive campaign included:

7 videos: an anthemic campaign video, as well as six shorts focused on the fraternity’s core values

Pull-up banners, flyers, and other recruitment materials

Email marketing and lead nurture materials

Social media & Content marketing

Paid Google and Meta ads

An immersive landing page experience

Campaign logos/watermarks and imagery

Downloadable posters and mobile/desktop wallpapers

Each asset has effectively served as a dog whistle for the Scottish Rite’s target audience, helping us quickly reach, engage, and convert potential new members.

The results?

20% year-over-year increase in new members

$803,000 in new revenue in just 8 months

The anthem video continues to be one of the most-watched videos on their YouTube channel and website, with over 29,000 views.

9,000 downloads on our most popular asset, the SRNMJ “Degrees” poster
