An annual report provides a roadmap to an organization’s successes and challenges for the preceding year. For our audiences, particularly for our donors, annual reports provide accountability for good stewardship of donor dollars, who impact of our programs, and highlight particular areas of success. The report also is an opportunity for our chief executive officers to provide a “State of the Foundation.” For our 2018 Annual Report, we were able to create a compelling story using more graphics and less text, engaging photos, clear content and the right number of numbers without being overwhelming. Highlighting our impact throughout, we told the story of the 2018 fiscal year from the perspective of what matters to our supporters – impact and responsible use of resources to advance animal health.
