The Mission: Create a logo and brand identity for The Westwood Group, a new consulting firm that promotes itself as a video and IT “fixer.” More than merely taking on technical engineering challenges for their clients, TWG offers elegant, intuitive solutions for those challenges. Our design had to convey their underlying interest in forging deeper bonds than a typical IT consulting firm; human connection, trust, and how those bonds inform every decision and thought process regarding systems and user experiences are essential to their brand. In other words, weave Systematic Expertise, Creativity, Trust, and Mission-Oriented Professionalism into a single letter.

Challenge: How can a simple “W” contain these multitudes?!

Solution: break it into ten parts, using understated, clean tones. Segmented shades of dark and light blue form subtle lines and shapes that look like technical hardware and signal flow diagrams. The overall effect is calm, deep, and strong without an edge. No chest-thumping (or capital letters) necessary. The Westwood Group is a brand you can trust, because it feels like they’ve been around for ages. Tailfeather for the Win!
