As an agency focused on award-winning digital marketing–particularly content marketing–we began to evolve our own agency-specific content plan in 2017. Our efforts included revamped social content, a blog, and a weekly newsletter.
All efforts focused on driving awareness of our expertise for potential clients, providing current clients with useful information, and attracting talented and qualified potential hires.
As our efforts have grown and evolved, so to has our engagement rate and the number of agencies who have begun to mimic our approach. In order to stay fresh and current, we needed to continue evolving.
In 2018, we evolved our approach to include a podcast. Research indicated that young people aged 18-44 years make up roughly 67% of the podcasting audience, and they are 45% more likely to have a college degree—important when trying to attract new talent. And, with approx. 150 million people listening to podcasts on a monthly basis in the US alone, we recognized this as an untapped market to drive awareness of our expertise to both potential and current clients alike.

Following the social and blog editorial calendar, the podcast is designed for our audiences to listen to on their commute, with a goal of reaching listeners (and potential hires) in Canada and beyond, as well as becoming a top-rated, trusted name in the marketing podcast space.
