Our CEO was inspired to create a video for Power that would challenge the expectations people have of the remodeling industry. He presented the team with the task of capturing Power’s new space - 2 floors and 100,000 sq ft of newly renovated space- as well as the energy of the culture that buzzes through headquarters daily. We wanted to showcase not only our updated office space, but also all of the awards and accolades Power has earned that set it apart from competitors in the industry. There were a variety of challenges the team faced in developing and executing on this video. First, it required using new equipment and technology that we hadn’t worked with before (Movi Pro gimbal, Red Raven, wireless follow-focus). In addition to editing the video to appear as one continuous shot, despite traveling through multiple floors, there were also varying levels of natural light in the office that challenged the consistency while filming as well. The intended audience for this video was new recruits to the organization. This video is shown in every initial interview that happens company wide. We used a Movi 2 gimbal with a Red Raven, which our team hadn't used before, to capture the shots. We added various badges and icons using After Effect and Cinema 4D while the team employed Davinci, another new tool, for color correction. The final product is a combination of drone footage, video footage and VFX. We have established a staple piece for our first interview presentations that generates an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from both audiences and our hiring managers. We have also curated an adaptable and long lasting product that can be easily updated to stay relevant as the business continues to grow.
