The film uses animation to interpret and reproduce the magnificent scenery in the fresco "To the East “ of Fahai Temple". Fahai Temple, located at the foot of Cuiwei Mountain in the western suburb of Beijing, built in Ming Dynasty, is a key cultural relic protection unit in China. Its mural art represents the highest level of Chinese murals in Ming Dynasty, and together with Dunhuang murals and Yongle Palace murals, it is called the three treasures of Chinese traditional murals. The animation depicts the fisherman's role exchange with the fish in the water during a day's fishing. He sees the flourishing appearance of Buddhas going to the meeting. Then he realized the relationship and harmonious coexistence between man and nature, everything is closely related, he released the fish finally. Starting from the digital research of mural color in Ming Dynasty, through scientific extraction and labeling, the film forms a sequence of digital color, and then re-draws it in the form of digital animation into the traditional Chinese meticulous heavy-color painting style.
