About The Entry

The Witness Project is a program bringing holocaust survivors together with high school students to tell their horror stories of what they lived through and survived. They do this in order to for the students to become witnesses themselves and be able to carry on and tell their stories to others as the "survivor" generation is dwindling very fast. Usually this program culminates with a live performance after 9 months of working with the survivors and learning their stories. Due to Covid 19 the entire program was cut short in person, and the performance was cancelled. But the students and survivors continued to keep in touch and this film was put together using footage that was filmed before the quarantine began as well as the students filming themselves at home - along with photos from the survivors themselves as well as archival photos.
