We produced a virtual commencement for Benedictine University using a 3-camera shoot in cinematic style. We asked an alumn to host the commencement and wrote the script for him. We also asked faculty to write sayings on postcards or other types of paper to send a message to the graduating students. We solved the headshot challenge by making it self-serve. Students were asked to go to a website and upload a headshot if they wanted to participate. We then used After-Effects to animate in the headshots individually and by row to give the video a dynamic feel during this segment. This automation allowed us to accept headshots until the very last minute before wrapping up the video.
