A top-of-the-line luxury like the G63 deserves to be presented in the most appealing way, even in a digital context. A standard configurator does not meet these requirements. With the G-Box XR Manufaktur, we have created an immersive 3D configuration experience that enables a highly personalized customer consultation and experience through the intelligent use of VR - in dealerships, at trade fairs, road shows and events. With impressive installations in 15 dealer showrooms by the end of 2023 and presentations in Spain, New York and Berlin, the XR Manufaktur demonstrates its adaptability to a wide range of sales environments. The first use in Germany, at the Stallwächter Party on July 6, 2023 in Berlin, attracted great interest from political and business leaders and provided a unique experience. Around 1,800 people attended the event.
The work is unique on several levels:
1) Immersive 3D experience: The G63 VR application allows visitors to immerse themselves in a virtual world and experience the G-Class in a completely new way. Multi-sensory VR interactions, dynamic environments and realistic lighting create a captivating atmosphere.
2) Technology integration: The application cleverly combines different technologies such as VR and iPad remote control to provide a seamless and highly personalized experience. The use of the latest technologies sets the application apart from traditional configurators.
3) Personalization options: A variety of options and designs allow visitors to customize the G-Class to their individual preferences. This level of personalization provides a unique customer experience that goes far beyond the mere configuration process.
4) Phygital approach: The work creates a link between the physical and digital worlds by immersing visitors in a virtual environment while being assisted by an onsite sales advisor. This integration creates a seamless experience and improves customer loyalty.
5) Digital souvenir: Once the G-Class has been configured according to individual wishes, a QR code leads directly to mediaman's exclusive WeChat mini-program. There, the customer can save the personalized vehicle and "take it home".
Overall, the G63 VR application is an innovative example of the use of VR technology and personalized customer experiences in the automotive sector.
