Every three years, the city of Calistoga, California, creates an anti-drunk and drugged driving program as part of the national Every 15 Minutes project. Funded by the Department of Transportation, the California Highway Patrol, and the residents and businesses of Calistoga, the program is multi-tiered and reaches the entire student body of the high school. Piers, who have experienced the devastation of drunk driving firsthand, speak at a retreat and take part in a school-wide assembly that closes out the week-long agenda. The highlight of the program is a short, narrative film written by high school students and starring hand-picked members of the student body. "Every 15 Minutes: Calistoga 2025" was shot, produced, and presented this past May.
