As the pandemic swept the nation more, tens of millions of people across the US found themselves or someone in their households without a job; for many, it happened seemingly overnight. While the unpredictable economy continued, the workforce struggled to recover and millions went from full-time employees to job-seekers failing to see the jobs they had lost come back. Following an economic downturn, temporary jobs are added to the workforce sooner than the full-time permanent jobs many had lost. In-line with its mission of connecting people and work, temporary staffing leader PeopleReady launched an aggressive media outreach effort to help people across the nation find work in their local communities. With a focus on informing media of the most in-demand temporary jobs, areas of growth, opportunities for people to recareer and helping people connect to the jobs, PeopleReady’s information-driven effort garnered more than two thousand media stories across the nation on TV, radio, and print media outlets. The effort is driving attention and increasing awareness of jobs hiring immediately, reaching over 1.7 billion readers/viewers (and counting), helping people connect to the open jobs a variety of ways: via app (JobStack), online (jobs.peopleready.com), and in person (at PeopleReady locations across the nation).
