The Southeast Diabetes Faith Initiative (SDFI) is a multi-state faith-based program created by The Balm In Gilead, Inc., to expand the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP). Through this program, people across the country learn the skills they need to lose weight, be more physically active, and manage stress—in short, transform their lifestyle. This transformation is at the core—the very foundation of the design concept. veJov crafted the logo from two directions.

First, the structural feel of the typography embodies the essence of the program's discipline. The twelve-month program creates the structure necessary to make the changes to improve your health. Then secondly, using the initials to form the butterfly creates an incredible monogram for the brand. Overall, the brand messaging and visuals convey the step-by-step context that making modest lifestyle changes now — like eating healthier, being more physically active, and managing stress — may help you avoid having to manage type 2 diabetes for the rest of your life.
