In early-January 2020, the World Health Organization announced a deadly virus that soon impacted the American workforce. In just two months, COVID-19 swept the nation, impacting millions of American workers, their families and finances. Soon, all but essential workers and first responders were instructed by their states and cities to work from home. For a significant percentage of the workforce, working remotely was impossible. Others struggled with the complexities of shared live/work/play/learn spaces, changes in income and the darkness of isolation. To celebrate Labor Day and its rich history, The Mid-Continent Companies created a timely salute to the resilient American workforce.
