A constructed reality program created by Alkemy X and produced for TLC, “Drag Me Down The Aisle” focuses on an Amish Country microbiologist named Emily who is most comfortable wearing flannel and jeans. While she’s determined to step-it-up and plan a fairy tale wedding, her ill-fitting dress (that Mom bought), lack of confidence and limited budget don’t make her feel like a princess.
Despite feeling nervous about the reactions from her uber-conservative parents and town, Emily enlists her own personal team of drag queens and wedding experts (all of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” fame.) BeBe Zahara Benet (planning and decor), Thorgy Thor (music and entertainment), Jujubee (fashion) and Alexis Michelle (body image and makeup) combine their considerable skills, humor and hearts to help Emily pull off her dream wedding day, win over her family and friends and remind everyone that there's a queen in all of us.
This program, which positively reflects diversity and inclusivity through its subject matter and casting, has aired in the United States and on all International TLC channels.
