1. We learned that the teenage daughter of a Comcast employee was the artist behind artwork that appeared at George Floyd’s funeral. We knew there had to be an incredible story that led to that point and we were right. The story of Faith and her family is the story of love and parenting Black children today in the shadow of the killing of George Floyd. It shows how when one door closes, creativity can lead to another. It shows that one small action can lead to greater impact and inspiration in a time where we are confident that the voices behind social justice are loud and enduring.
