Winged Whale Media produced a Virtual Reality 360 Video Tourism Campaign for Pullmantur Cruises in South America. The purpose and objective of the VR 360 Video had two purposes. 1. To Train Travel Agents, PR & Marketing Agencies, Influencers & the Press. 2. To promote to the mass consumer market. Some of the strategic angles that were introduced included having the Ship Crew act as Talent as they directed their words towards the VR Insta360 Pro 2 Camera Rig. This gave the dynamic of the video a more personable approach as each talent that was used specialized in a specific department. For example, a Waiter at the Restaurant would invite the viewer to experience and or know more about their services. At the same time, we inserted various features that gave the 360 Video more flare and dynamics such as PIP (Picture in Picture) inserts, graphic title overlays, etc. By adding these features, it created more interest from the viewer versus just traditional 360 videos. By combining both a personal approach from a crew member addressing the VR Camera and the graphic features inserted gave the results more energy to make the end product entertaining and informative.
The production itself also embraced various filming techniques and equipment rigs that gave the end product better range in results. Examples of this include the gear that was used, such as the Insta360 Pro 2, the Insta360 One X, the Kodak Pix Pro Underwater Gear with customized rig to add on additional Camera and the Canon 5D that became a part of the PIP inserts. Rigs that worked with the cameras included Tripods, Jibs, Steady Cam & Mic Stands. And of course various Sennheiser & H4N audio equipment to capture the talents voice over narratives.
The VR 360 Video for Pullmantur Cruises has been showcased via VR Headsets, Social Media & on the Immersive VR Education Engage Platform to train travel agents, press, PR & Marketing Agencies & influencers. We've rolled out hundreds of Familiarization Trips with these organizations and influencers since the launch of the products and the reception has been phenomenal.
