The ANCESTER

The ANCESTOR is a short CG concept film produced by Mixanthropy, exploring mimesis, hybridity, biomorphism, and solitude of identity, and a source of ancient futuristic vigor that connects the human body with the terrain. This experiential film narrates the story of five reincarnations of ancestors that are dressed in fur-covered characters evocative of faunal mimicry. Narrating a poem in a mythical, surreal and sci-fi visual landscape, The ANCESTOR interrogates human’s solitude and power stemmed from ancestral chimerism.
