Creating a website for an interior designer is really about experience. This experience isn’t equal to positioning the company. It’s more personal and relates directly to the visitor of the website; how does this person experience your brand and your products and how does it relate to him or her.
In this case it is a visually oriented audience and what greater experience is there than to be sucked into a world full of artistic objects covered with quirky designs and patterns.
To achieve this online experience, we created a fullscreen website where fullscreen photo’s in animating sliders present Swawek himself, the projects he worked on and the products he developes. These products are handcrafted and not produced in series.
Conceptually, we decided to make it a little controversial: take an unusual spot to showcase the products, so they would stand out from their environment and would have space to shine in their own right and tell their story. This story intensifies with the almost poetic names and descriptions our copywriter gave to them individually. Without even seeing a picture, you get the idea of what the design must look like by only reading the text (some of the names are in English, so you get the idea).
The socalled Urbex photo’s were taken in an abandoned factory, where the ruins of the factory, the light through broken glass and through holes in walls and ceilings light up Swawek’s designs. There’s no extra lights, not even flashlight, to make these designs look perfect. As honest as the designer Swawek is!
With this webdesign we offer the visitor an experience, instead of sole products.
You can’t buy the products online, but the experience makes the visitor want to contact Swawek to create something especially fitting their own wishes.
Because of this optimal experience, the target group(s) automatically bond and you get ambassadors instead of customers. An audience that is loyal and social and will sincerely recommend Swawek to others.
