New World: Your First Sandwurm

Some days the universe just gives you a gift. That was the case for our agency the day we were trusted to get fans fanning-out about the crazy fun in New World’s Season 3: Blood of the Sands — particularly the Sandwurm Trial taking place within New World to kickoff the new season. So let’s see. You’ve got sand. You’ve got giant worms. We’re thinking Dune, right? Awesome. It doesn’t get any more badass than Dune.
Entirely shot in game, we were able to utilize various tools and tricks to create the feat of riding a Sandwurm, an activity that is not actually available in New World. Cinematic shots were combined with our detailed knowledge of New World and it's developer mechanics, curated music, VO and SFX, to create something that felt familiar and yet new and exciting. It was a wink to a knowing audience of sci-fi appreciators, and an invitation to get very wormin’ excited about Season 3: Blood of the Sands.
