And as part of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, TrueBlue is committed to developing strategies that help reduce the nation’s carbon footprint and build a more sustainable future. When deployment of green power solutions accelerated rapidly, we had an idea: To develop a company and brand concept that would expand our support of the renewable energy industry and leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
In 2023, professionals across TrueBlue collaborated to create and launch a new business entity: RenewableWorks. Brand ideation and research began in March, and design and production in mid-April. In just six weeks, the team developed a cohesive brand look and feel, messaging and website wireframing. The new website and brand launched in May 2023.
While the development process was fast-tracked, each selection was made thoughtfully to create an eye-catching, targeted brand. From the name and brand voice to the color palette, images and graphics, the goal was to develop a brand that resonated with renewable energy professionals and established competitive differentiation.
For example, the brand name, RenewableWorks, connects to both the idea of a sustainable future and to TrueBlue’s mission. Vibrant brand colors and leaf-shaped illustrations help represent the renewable energy industry, while images of sunlit employees and solar panels showcase the solar construction services we provide.
The team developed a complete brand portfolio to take this new entity to market:
• Brand name and messaging
• Full brand identity package with custom illustrations
• Website with customized sections for sales and careers
• Marketing and sales collateral
• Sales and QBR presentation decks
• Trade show booth, banner stands and giveaways
• LinkedIn and Facebook pages, along with social media graphics and templates
• Branded apparel and employee portal
With creativity, innovation and attention to detail, the RenewableWorks brand was launched with lightning speed. And while the brand is still young, the company’s impact has been profound. In fact, our team has grown to 1,700+ employees in less than a year.
