The Countdown Series is a 25-part documentary video series that delves into the very essence of Ultra Music Festival and its profound impact over the past 25 years. The exclusive series breaks down the historic value of Ultra by showcasing how it has shaped music, forged relationships, boosted careers and captivated fans. Told through the voices of passionate fans, iconic artists, influential bookers, and key industry insiders, each episode relives the most unforgettable moments and memories that have defined Ultra’s legacy.
We have been Ultra’s exclusive livestream partner since 2012, so we had all the historic material to showcase the past 25 years. Alongside historic material, we captured interviews with the most important DJ’s from Ultra's lineups who were incredibly keen to be part of the series. We assembled an all-star cast, including: Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Subtronics, Gryffin, Steve Aoki, Charlotte de Witte and many more! In addition to the superstar DJs, we created a casting campaign using Instagram and TikTok to find Ultra Music Festival's biggest fans for the documentary. The interviews with these superfans were essential to the series, as they gave a unique angle on the festival's significance.
New episodes are released every Monday for an epic 25-week countdown to Ultra Miami 2025 —a journey that builds excitement leading up to the highly anticipated 25th edition of Ultra Music Festival, happening March 28-30, 2025. As well as being creative and engaging stand-alone episodes, the series is promoting the festival and the livestream, engaging more and more fans and driving brand awareness for Ultra.
