Using the hashtags #LoveWhereYouWork and #WeAreCisco, participants compete for prizes and recognition while surfacing compelling, personal stories — many of which evolve into full blog posts. The WeAreCisco Team supports selected storytellers with an approachable writing process, helping those who do not consider themselves writers craft narratives that are emotionally compelling and conversational in tone. Each post includes a personalized author bio and photos to deepen reader connection and bring the story to life visually. Once published, stories are strategically amplified across Cisco’s digital ecosystem — including the WeAreCisco social channels, Cisco’s LinkedIn, employee platforms such as an internal homepage, and global social channels. Publishing is timed with awareness of holidays, world events, and cultural moments to ensure relevance and sensitivity. In 2023 and 2024, the blog published 80 employee stories from around the world, attracting more than 200,000 views and building a growing base of email subscribers. But the blog’s true power lies beyond metrics: it sparks meaningful connections in comments and on social platforms, differentiates Cisco as a great place to work, and brings its culture and Purpose — Powering an Inclusive Future for All — to life. From innovation and inclusion to leadership support and career growth, no topic is off-limits. By empowering employees to speak honestly and proudly, the WeAreCisco Blog delivers credibility and connection that branded content simply can’t.
