The development of the Lazarus Effect Project Illustrations and Infographics are based on the topic of the „Lazarus-Effect“ with regard to the flora and fauna of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Lazarus-Effect describes the state of a previously lost or considered extinct form of life, the recurrence of which is or has been proven.
The result of the campaign includes the development of an educational cross-media social campaign, consisting of print media in the form of campaign posters / banners and information graphics, social media marketing, merchandise products, a supporting web concept, as well as guerrilla marketing strategies.
This illustrations are selected excerpts from the Lazarus Effect awareness campaign.
The information graphics serve as a basis; They include the five major species extinctions, the local fauna and those taxa that are subject to extinction (based on the 2018 Rote Liste). In addition, a graphic representation of the current floral species and their extension in terms of predicted temporal division is visualized.
The entire campaign character is optically based on a detailed and high-contrast black and white vector illustration style. Representatives from flora and fauna are shown, who are currently and temporarily subject to the Lazarus effect, or who are under the abbreviation ex (extinct) in the Rote Liste and whose return migration is possible.
To promote the sustainability of the enlightenment, an exhibition concept in the form of a pop-up pavilion and the integration into existing exhibitions of large museums were planned.
