This project showcases the large-scale modernization of enterprise network infrastructure supporting one of the largest public education environments in the United States. The initiative focused on transforming legacy network architecture into a scalable, secure, and high-performance ecosystem.
Key components included the deployment of Cisco Meraki SD-WAN across 40+ branch sites, migration of routing protocols from OSPF to BGP to support high-speed WAN scalability, and implementation of advanced traffic engineering strategies to improve application performance by over 40%.
The project also involved modernization of application delivery through migration from legacy load balancers to F5 BIG-IP, enhancing application availability and reliability. Automation using Python and Ansible significantly reduced provisioning time and operational overhead.
Additionally, the design incorporated secure segmentation, hybrid cloud connectivity, and advanced monitoring tools to improve visibility and resilience across the network.
This transformation resulted in improved network performance, enhanced security posture, and a future-ready infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale digital operations.
