About The Entry
At major medical congresses, attention is hard to earn and even harder to keep. Physicians are surrounded by clinical data, scientific posters, product messages, and polished pharmaceutical campaigns all competing for the same few seconds of interest. For Anktiva, ImmunityBio needed a print ad series that could cut through the noise while still respecting the gravity of BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with carcinoma in situ.
The congress print ads brought the “You Want a Piece of Me?” campaign directly into that high-pressure environment.
Instead of relying on expected oncology imagery or quiet clinical convention, the series used bold, confrontational creative to give Anktiva a distinct presence. The ads carried the campaign’s central attitude — direct, defiant, and built for the fight — while adapting it to the realities of congress media. Each execution was designed to work fast: grab attention, communicate the brand’s posture, and invite physicians to learn more.
The design system did the heavy lifting. Oversized typography, gritty textures, high-contrast layouts, and commanding visual hierarchy gave the ads immediate stopping power. The campaign language added the punch, transforming a complex treatment story into a memorable brand expression that felt more like a challenge than a claim. The result was a series that stood apart from the more restrained visual language often seen in oncology advertising.
But the work was not created for shock value. Beneath the attitude was a disciplined communication strategy. The ads needed to signal that Anktiva was different, relevant, and worth a closer look — while operating within the demands of a regulated treatment category. Every headline, layout, and visual choice had to balance energy with clarity, swagger with substance, and impact with responsibility.
As a series, the congress ads extended Anktiva’s campaign ecosystem across a key point of HCP engagement. They reinforced the brand’s identity before, during, and around major urology meetings, helping create a cohesive presence that connected print, digital, booth, and experiential tactics.
The congress print ad series made Anktiva impossible to miss in the exact places where clinical conversations were already happening.
