If there\\\'s anything these days that we can all unequivocally agree on, it\\\'s that 2020 looked a little different. Similarly, the 2020 Annual Report looks a little different than it has in the past.
The City of Suwanee has actually had the idea to do a Seuss-themed annual report in the past, but the amount of space required for the narrative made it impossible without publishing a 50-page report. While much was accomplished this year, much was also cancelled, and so we found ourselves with extra space. Call it one of the 2020 silver linings.
We borrowed a concept or two from Dr. Seuss (prior to the scandal) in an effort to create an informative, yet light-hearted look at 2020. We mean in no way to downplay the difficulties that anyone has faced; we only hope to bring a little joy via a few silly rhymes. Unlike the Grinch, COVID-19 has no redeeming qualities, and this is not a story of its redemption. Rather, it’s a testament to the resiliency of the people of Suwanee.
