“Deep in the Brain” produced by CCTV Documentary Channel is China's first scientific documentary specific to the brain science. From the day of broadcasting, its creative posters have captured an extensive attention, with over 100 million views. The brain is such a mysterious and complex organ that the mankind has never ceased to explore it. The poster “Deep in the Brain” is inspired from the unfolded view of the nerve fiber bundles in brain with an extensive and profound significance. The dominant cold color of the poster, coupled with the splash color technique of Chinese paintings that appears to be partly hidden and partly visible, delivers the perceived feelings of depth and mystery. Those light spots appearing like dots of stars in the universe, are closely associated with the romanticism inherited by the Chinese for thousands of years. The solitary paper-cut silhouettes of characters in the bundle of nerve fibers seem to be thinking and exploring something, as if human beings were shocked and impressed by the vastness of the universe. A few strokes of well-arranged light rays outline the grandness of the boundless universe, which is visually perceived with lingering memory. In the depth of the brain, the brain and the universe come as one entity in a coherent and progressive way. The story is told in design that makes the story hierarchical and vivid.
