To start a positive conversation about Domestic Abuse, encouraging victims and survivors to speak out is important. Our goal is to destigmatize the experience and expose myths about issues that are considered shameful and private; increases awareness for this type of violence, and encourage more reporting of domestic violence and sexual abuse; to show Domestic Abuse is not just a "cultural thing", it does not discriminate. Anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender can be a victim; to increase the victim’s self-esteem, to prevent the onset of short or long-term adverse effects, and to prevent future abuse.
