In late October of 2018, we joined the field team of The Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme on their daily tours along the South Ari atoll. The Maldives and Wales based charity carries out marine wildlife research and fosters community focused conservation initiatives. The field team of the MWSRP monitors the demographics and movement of different species such as whale sharks.
The Programme partners with the Big Fish Network and helps develop apps that enable anyone to become part of a data network and actively contribute to wildlife conservation.
Commissioned by Apple Inc., we had the unique opportunity to make use of our filmmaking skills in and underwater to return with a short tale about our marine universe and talk about the preservation efforts undertaken by this very devoted team of young scientists.
