The urgent challenge of the climate crisis demands immediate action as our planet faces unprecedented environmental threats. Enterprises with innovative solutions often encounter barriers such as limited funding, recognition, and platforms for collaboration to scale their impact and enable a better tomorrow. The Zayed Sustainability Prize awards USD 1 million to organisations providing access to healthcare, clean energy, clean water, nutritious food and solutions to combat climate change.
We were commissioned by the Prize to tell the story of innovators around the world who are making a positive impact on our planet through sustainable innovation. We travelled to 12 different countries to produce a series of videos, featuring changemakers from around the world.
In this story, you meet the the bravehearts at Kelp Blue, who have created a whole new industry in Namibia, doing something that has never been done before – the cultivation of underwater Kelp Forests. Kelp Forests help to cool the planet by sequestering CO2, revive marine ecosystems and provide a regenerative agricultural biproduct to produce nutritious food – A win win solution for our people and planet.
