Sector 5 Digital has worked with Galderma, the world’s largest independent dermatological pharmaceutical company, since 2017 to develop several educational tools that have helped train over 50,000 HCPs (HealthCare Professionals) to date. For Galderma’s most recent Train the Trainer conference, S5D created a series of videos to engage HCPs and make training accessible, entertaining, and successful.
The first video, Anatomy Intro, was used to introduce attendees to the Anatomy breakout session and showcase Galderma's innovation in the aesthetics space, creating excitement and anticipation for the HCPs to learn more about the new Galderma, Aesthetics Division products and their uses. The video then transitioned into a journey through the interior of the midface on a microscopic scale, peppered with fun, short quizzes about different anatomical structures to prepare attendees for breakout sessions.
The second video, Gellerina Contour, showcased the technology used in Galderma’s Restylane® family of products, establishing Galderma as the innovative market leader with fillers. The video featured complex 3D animation of a gel-like ballerina “gellerina” and gel-coated iconic structures to visually represent the flexibility and strength of the products. This helped to tell the innovative history of Galderma, Aesthetics Division but also illustrate the different technological features of the product line in a unique and creative way.
The final video, Internal Midface, is an educational piece to teach HCPs about the anatomy of the midface. S5D filmed board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Chris Surek on a green screen and placed him within a photorealistic, highly-detailed environment of facial muscles, arteries and ligaments for visual representation. Dr. Surek pointed out various anatomical structures to demonstrate to the audience how to safely inject Galderma’s Restylane® Contour™ into regions of the midface. The video provided a fun and visually entertaining way for HCPs to learn about the anatomy of the midface, breaking free from the confines of a traditional conference presentations and overcoming event fatigue to maintain engagement.
